We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide exceptional care and assistance in a child care setting. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting with daily activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being of the individual that needs the support. Responsibilities

Help navigate challenging moments Aid in expressing feelings, opinions throughout the day/afternoon Offer emotional support to promote mental well-being Document progress accurately and communicate with the facility director and parents on a regular basis Follow care plans tailored to individual needs, including SMART goals and an individualized support plan

Experience

Early Childhood Education degree/diploma, Social Work background (asset) Experience in a childcare setting (asset) Experience working with children who have behaviour challenges (asset) Knowledge of the New Brunswick Early Learning Framework (or willingness to take the course) First Aid Course (asset)
This role requires a caring attitude, patience, reliability, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Candidates should be committed to providing high-quality support that enhances the quality of life for those in their care.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 5 months

Pay: $16.83-$27.33 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
