The normal work schedule is on a

rotation of 4 weeks paid

i.e., 2 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks paid to rest.

Future challenges



Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the Senior Mine Engineer is responsible for overseeing the work of the mining engineers. He develops the 18-month planning for certain operations and participates in the design or improvement of future mine designs within this timeframe. He also plays a mentoring role for the mining engineers.Responsible for planning, organizing, designing, and overseeing both underground and open-pit mining operations; Supporting and coordinating the work of mining engineers; Developing mining cycles with a focus on continuous improvement; Reviewing the quarterly planning prepared by the mining engineers; Developing optimization projects to improve mining operations; Acting as a mentor to the mining engineers; Validating weekly and monthly progress reports for operations; Performing any other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

What we are looking for

University degree in Mining Engineering (Bachelor's); Member of the Ordre des Ingenieurs du Quebec; Have a minimum of 4 to 8 years of relevant experience or its equivalent; Strong knowledge of MS Office software; Proficiency in Deswik software required; Experience in the production of magmatic nickel and platinum group metal deposits is an asset; Hold a valid driver's license; a general explosives handling permit is essential, along with the FMTM modules (1-2-3-4-5 and 7); Due to frequent communication with English-speaking team members, bilingualism (French/English) is an asset to facilitate and enhance internal communications.
