Position Overview
ABM College is seeking a qualified and experienced instructor for the Immigration Assistant Diploma Program at our Toronto campus. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Canadian immigration law and processes , as well as teaching or industry experience . This role requires developing and delivering course materials, assessing student performance, and ensuring curriculum alignment with industry standards .
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver engaging lectures and practical training sessions on Canadian immigration processes, legal documentation, and client services .
• Develop, update, and maintain course content, lesson plans, and instructional materials .
• Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and hands-on exercises .
• Stay up to date with Canadian immigration policies, laws, and regulatory changes to ensure accurate instruction.
• Support student learning by providing guidance, mentorship, and constructive feedback .
• Collaborate with faculty and administration to enhance program content and delivery methods .
Mandatory Requirements
• Minimum two (2) years (24 months) of work experience or teaching experience in immigration consulting, legal services, or a related field , acquired within the last 10 years .
• Academic qualifications (must meet at least one of the following criteria):
• Bachelor's degree in International Relations, or a related field from a recognized Canadian university or equivalent.
• Diploma or certificate in Immigration Consulting, Immigration Assistant or a related program from a recognized College of Applied Arts and Technology, Private Career College (PCC), or equivalent institution .
Preferred Qualifications
• Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) designation or equivalent.
• Prior teaching or training experience in post-secondary institutions.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills .
• Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital teaching tools .
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 per week
