Job Title - MOCK OSCE EXAMINER & CONTRIBUTOR



MedSckool Reviews is hosting a

full-scale, 12-station OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination)

on

Saturday, September 6, 2025

, in preparation for the Fall NAC OSCE and we're looking to hire

IMGs and ITPs

to serve as

Mock Examiners

for this important one-day event!

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who is familiar with the NAC OSCE and wants to contribute to helping other IMGs prepare for success, while gaining insight into what it's like on the

other side of the table

.



Play the role of an OSCE examiner for the purpose of interacting with medical students and other international medical graduates to hone their clinical skills and bedside manners in our upcoming FALL MOCK EXAM.

The Canadian medical licensing examinations require all international medical graduates to clear certain practical OSCE (Objective-Structured-Clinical-Examinations)-style examinations so if you're reading and possibly applying for this position, it means you have completed this exam already!

As a standardized examiner, your primary responsibility is to accurately evaluate student performance in history taking, physical exam, spoken English proficiency, and communication skills or other metrics on an assigned station.

What You'll Do:



Observe and evaluate medical candidates performing clinical tasks during the mock OSCE Use a provided marking scheme to

grade performance and professionalism

Collaborate with the actor playing the patient at the station Provide

clear, constructive, and supportive feedback

to candidates after each round Follow a structured case briefing (provided the morning of the exam) Participate in a short training session before the event begins.

What we're asking from you:



International Medical Graduates (IMGs)

or

Internationally Trained Physicians (ITPs)

Prior

OSCE experience

(as a candidate or instructor) is strongly preferred Reliable, professional, and punctual Confident in providing verbal feedback in a calm and supportive tone Local to the GTA/North York

Training will be provided

on how to grade using our station-specific rubrics Be true to the role in your consistency and honesty. Be genuine & be patient with the student doctors Have a sense of humor

You will also be asked to verbally critique the student on how you felt they performed with you

. Specifics will be provided during training.*
Additionally, we will be taking photos/videos of you to use for promotional material, on our website, social media pages, and any print material.

What we offer:



You'll be a part of our roster of Physician Examiners - it's a freelance, casual contract role

Roles will be both In-Person

Gigs are throughout the year;

requirements are between 3-9 Hours

Guaranteed at least 3 hours of work



Compensation

o

$30/hr for IN-PERSON Interactions
