The McGill Centre for Integrative Neuroscience (MCIN) is a multidisciplinary group which supports numerous collaborations and provides neuroinformatics software infrastructure, tools and services to a broad, international neuroscience community. MCIN\xe2\x80\x99s neuroinformatics platforms, developed and supported in-house, allow a community of hundreds of scientists around the world to organise and analyse data through collaborative tools and remote computing resources.

The LORIS team within the MCIN group specialises in the development and support of the LORIS Neuroinformatics Platform.

:

This person will be responsible for providing neuroimaging and image processing expertise to the LORIS team. He/she will serve as a consultant providing scientific advice and guidance to the team. The imaging specialist may participate in protocol development and contribute to the LORIS platform by contributing to the LORIS and LORIS-MRI codebases specific to the ABCD project.

Over the duration of the contract this person will perform anonymization and quality control across large multi-site neuroimaging datasets and will play an active role in reporting and documenting results. He/she will also analyse and perform image pre-processing tasks integral to dataset validation and publication such as anonymization, distortion correction, intensity non-uniformity correction and stereotaxic registration.

This person will work closely with the team to implement image processing pipelines or data manipulation scripts, and when necessary will develop custom image processing tools and pipelines for integration in LORIS and related tools.

The imaging specialist will also participate in meetings and conferences, and contribute to the publication of academic papers.

Key Skills, Qualifications, and Requirements:

Graduate degree in computer science, neuroscience, or a related field or software engineer

Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems and shell commands

Experience with image processing for neuroimaging such as automated brain registration

Experience with EEG

Experience with MRI Processing and Pre-processing

Experience with MNI imaging processing tools and the MINC toolkit is an asset

Experience of DICOM standards is an asset

Experience with BIDs standards

Experience with or the desire to learn software development best practices

Excellent communication skills, team oriented

Good organizational skills and the ability to learn quickly

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

Annual Salary: (MPEX Grade 06) $73,350.00 - $91,690.00 - $110,030.00
