Job Summary

The

Invigilator

is responsible for the administration, organization, and smooth running of tests in accordance with rules and regulations in an environment that enables a participant to perform at their best.

Our Test Centre administers the following test;

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS)

Duties

Assist with setting up examination venue by laying out stationery, equipment, and examination papers in accordance with strict procedures. Closely follow and enforce exam procedures and regulations. Assist candidates prior to the start of exams by directing them to their seats and advising them about possessions permitted in examination venues. Ensure that candidates do not talk once inside examination venues. Invigilate during examinations and deal with queries and/or irregularities raised by candidates in accordance with procedures. Check attendance during examinations. Control and manage the test environment. Match test candidates with their photo ID's. Conduct regular, random ID checks.

Requirements:

A competent level of English. Completion of a secondary/high school diploma. An understanding and commitment to maintaining appropriate standards of confidentiality and security of materials. An understanding of the importance of criteria and protocol related to assessment, and test administration. Dependability, reliability, punctuality. Excellent customer service skills. An appreciation and understanding of differences in cultural communication styles.

Hours of Work:

During a typical test, Invigilators work for approximately 5 hours per shift. Generally, shifts are on Saturdays and start at 7:30 am and conclude by 12:30 pm, although times may vary.
