Job Description

FPS Fluid Power Solutions Inc is seeking a Hydraulic Technician / Mechanic to join our team in Kelowna BC.

FPS is a regional distributor of Hydraulic and Pneumatic products and services. From our location in Kelowna, we offer sales, system design, service, and repairs to our customers throughout British Columbia and Western Canada.

The key responsibilities of this role are:

• Installation, repair, troubleshooting and commissioning of hydraulic components and systems.
• Travel to customer locations for troubleshooting, repair or installation of hydraulic components.
• Perform daily duties in a manner conducive to a safe workplace.
• Thoroughly and clearly document all work performed daily.
• Communicate professionally with customers when required.
• Build and assemble hose and tube assemblies as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years Hydraulic Repair experience.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
• Competency in reading technical manuals and writing service reports.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative and concern for the customer.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Own the tools applicable to the position.
• Sawmill and Plywood industry experience is preferred but not required.
• Machining and Machine Tool knowledge is an asset.
