About the Role

We are hiring a

full-time Hybrid Web Developer & Graphic Designer

to join our growing team at Union Technologies Inc. This position requires someone who can work

100% EST hours

, communicate clearly in English, and produce

both high-quality design and modern front-end development

work.

You will work on real projects for

North American union clients

, including:

Flyers Posters Social media graphics Landing pages Web UI screens Email campaigns Light front-end development WordPress updates and new page builds
This is

NOT

a pure developer role and

NOT

a pure designer role -- you must be strong in

both

.

Responsibilities

Graphic Design (Print + Digital)

Design flyers, posters, banners, postcards, social graphics Create union-wide announcements, meeting notices, event materials Produce print-ready files (CMYK, bleed, margins) Design assets for web, email templates, campaign materials

Web Development

Front-end development with

HTML, CSS, JavaScript

Build landing pages, UI components, forms, and reusable sections Update and style WordPress pages (Elementor, Gutenberg, custom HTML/CSS) Collaborate on UI design for web apps (Figma/Adobe) Optimize pages for speed and responsiveness

General

Work directly with our internal team Communicate clearly and professionally Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Midjourney, Canva AI, etc.) to speed up workflows Meet deadlines and follow instructions precisely

Required Skills

Design

Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator / InDesign OR Figma Strong typography, layout, and composition Experience with

print design

required Ability to follow existing branding guidelines

Development

HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (required) Responsive design WordPress experience (big asset) React/Next.js (bonus, not required)

Soft Skills

Strong English (written & spoken) Reliable communication Available
