Job Description


On target income (OTI) is composed of your base salary + commission/bonus structure. OTI is a forecast of your potential earnings for the role.

My client has provided contractors, builders, distributors, engineers and retailers with quality HVAC products and personalized service since 1958, but has seen a rapid surge in growth over the past 2 years when they brought on a new, ambitious CEO.

After seeing a nearly 200% rise in sales, the team is looking to expand and hire an HVAC expert to drive new business. The focus of this role will be on hunting new business and growing accounts, beginning in Ontario, with opportunities to expand into Atlantic Canada, Montreal, and Manitoba.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to acquire new customers in the assigned territory.
  • Build and nurture relationships with existing accounts through proactive account management and regular communication.
  • Collaborate with contractors, purchasers, and engineering professionals to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Present and promote the company\'s HVAC products and services to achieve sales targets.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle for both residential and targeted commercial projects.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to align sales strategies with company goals.
About you:
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful HVAC sales experience.
  • Mechanical engineering background is a plus, though not required.
  • Proficiency in French is a plus, though not required.
  • Strong prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
  • Experience with tender processes and commercial contracts is highly desirable.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • $80,000 to $100,000 base (depending on experience); $150,000+ OTE
  • Full benefits package and three weeks of vacation.
  • Mileage reimbursement for business travel.
