We are seeking a HVAC Technical Sales Representative with strong technical and design capabilities to support and grow our custom HVAC equipment business. This role blends technical sales, CAD-based equipment layout and design, working closely with clients and internal manufacturing teams from concept through production.

This position is ideal for someone who understands how custom air-handling equipment is designed and built, not just sold.

Responsibilities



Develop and manage relationships with clients Review project drawings, specifications, and schedules to develop compliant custom HVAC equipment solutions Design custom HVAC equipment layouts using CAD, including unit configuration and component placement Select and size HVAC components such as fans, motors, coils, filters, dampers, heaters, and accessories Prepare technical proposals, pricing, and complete submittal packages for custom air-handling units, make-up air units, and related equipment Perform airflow, static pressure, and basic heat transfer calculations to support equipment selection Coordinate closely with engineering and production teams to confirm scope, manufacturability, pricing, and lead times Provide technical support throughout the sales and submittal process, including revisions and clarifications Maintain CRM records, sales forecasts, and customer activity tracking Participate in customer meetings, design reviews, and occasional site visits as required

Experience



Diploma or degree in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience Experience in HVAC technical sales, applications engineering or equipment design Strong understanding of air-handling systems and airflow fundamentals, including fans, coils, motors, filters, and controls Experience using CAD software (AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT, SolidWorks, or similar) for equipment layout and design Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and schedules Working knowledge of HVAC codes and standards Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Highly organized, self-driven, and comfortable in a growing, fast-paced environment
