Position Overview:

The Service Manager is responsible for overseeing daily service operations, managing technicians, and ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong technical HVAC knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and a customer-focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, manage, and support the HVAC service team Work alongside coordination staff to maximize efficiency and response time Ensure service work meets company quality standards and safety requirements Provide technical support and guidance to technicians as needed Monitor job performance, productivity, and profitability Handle escalated customer concerns and ensure timely resolution Train, mentor, and evaluate service technicians Oversee service documentation, work orders, and invoicing accuracy Coordinate with ownership/management on staffing, inventory, and growth planning Ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and company policies

Qualifications:

Journeyperson Refrigeration & AC Mechanic with commercial service experience. 3+ years of experience in service management would be an asset. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, materials, and service methods. Computer literacy and proficiency with software including Google Suite. Ability to read technical documents and navigate complex technical issues. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
