Stanford International College is currently seeking to hire an HVAC Instructor as indicated below.

Schedule

Monday - Friday 5:00pm - 10:00pm

Campus Location:

930 progress Ave , Scarborough

The Instructor will train students in the field of expertise using accepted and approved instructional methodology. Provides lecture and hands-on instruction as well as assessment of student's knowledge through applicable evaluation and reporting.

Requirements:

3 years as a licensed technician. Excellent communication and organizational skills

Program includes modules such as:

Venting Practices Hydronic Heating Systems Air Handling Units Building as a System Water Heaters, Combo Systems and Potable Water Heating Systems Domestic & Non Vented Appliances Forced Warm Air Heating Systems Space Heating and Decorative Appliances Forced Air Add-On Devices Domestic Gas Fired Refrigerators Gas Meters, Pressure Regulators and Relief Valves HVAC Safety Air Conditioning Fundamentals

Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare, organize and implement lesson plans using industry-standard educational approaches (multimedia, adult learning methodology) according to the required program schedule Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning modules; instruct and evaluate students, develop students skills, and encourage a positive learning environment according to the program schedule Track student attendance, performance and grades; report absenteeism to the Campus Administrator Ensure adherence to all safety standards and practices, including oversight, care and maintenance of any equipment of materials used in the classroom Observe and evaluate student's work to determine progress, provide feedback and make suggestions for improvement; maintain accurate and complete records of student's development Establish and enforce classroom rules and procedures; instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment Participate in various administrative activities (e.g., attending staff meetings), graduation ceremonies and continuing professional development activities, keep up-to-date with industry trends.
