The HVAC Install Helper supports Lead Installers in completing residential and commercial HVAC system installations. This role involves preparing materials, assisting with equipment setup, performing basic installation tasks, maintaining safe job sites, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities Installation Support
Assist with installing furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and duct systems.
Load, unload, and stage tools, equipment, and materials.
Run basic piping, wiring, and duct connections under supervision.
Move tools and equipment safely around the job site.
Job Site Duties
Keep the job site clean, organized, and safe.
Protect customer property using floor coverings and protective materials.
Follow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements and ladder safety.
Assist with hauling away old equipment and daily cleanup tasks.
Customer Interaction
Greet customers politely and professionally.
Answer basic questions and refer technical inquiries to the Lead Installer.
Maintain a positive and respectful demeanor at all times.
Tools & Equipment
Use basic hand tools such as drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, snips, and gauges.
Assist with moving, positioning, and securing HVAC equipment.
Perform accurate measurements and cuts as directed.
Qualifications Required
Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
Ability to lift 50-75 lbs regularly.
Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, roofs, and outdoor conditions.
Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to learn.
Ability to follow directions and work effectively in a team setting.
Preferred
Experience in construction, labor, or HVAC (not required).
Basic technical or mechanical aptitude.
Familiarity with common hand and power tools.
