HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER Out of Scope Position \xe2\x80\x93 1 Year Term
Competition# MCFSA-HRM-2023.001 Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, 37.5 hours weekly Classification and Salary: P8 $73,307 to $89,686 Location: Hybrid in Winnipeg, Portage La Prairie, Brandon or Dauphin, MB Vacation: 4.5 weeks per year
Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Human Resources Manager oversees and manages all human resource functions to facilitate the Metis Child and Family Services System\xe2\x80\x99s mission and to provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality and productivity. This position involves compliance of standards, goal attainment, and overseeing the development of a superior workforce, including planning, employee/labour relations, compensation administration, recruitment and selection, policy development, performance management and job evaluations. The Human Resources Manager also participates actively on various joint committees to maintain ongoing positive relations between management and employees.
The ideal candidate for this role will have completed Post-secondary education in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Labour Relations, and/or Employment Law, have five or more years of experience in human resource management and two or more years working in a unionized and non-unionized environment. Chartered Professional in Human Resources designation (CPHR) an asset. Advanced knowledge in Policy Development, Human Resources Planning, Performance Management, Recruitment and Section, Investigations, Benefit Administrations, and Training and Development, building relationships and possess superior communication skills. Working knowledge of the Labour Relations Act, Human Rights Code, Employment Standards Act, Employment Equity Legislation, Workplace Safety and Health Act and Worker\xe2\x80\x99s Compensation Legislation. Knowledge/experience in Child and Family Services will be considered an asset.
Prior to commencing employment the successful applicant will be asked to provide satisfactory results of a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, a Child Abuse Registry Check, and Prior Contact Check upon hire at their own expense. A valid Manitoba driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and the use of a personal vehicle are requisites as travel within and outside the city are required.
