As part of our continuing growth in this high technology market, Teledyne Digital Imaging is recruiting for a Human Resources Manager in Waterloo

The HR manager provides strategic HR Business Partner support to the Waterloo Management teams to drive the people agenda at the Waterloo site and leads the Waterloo site HR team.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic HR business partner support and coaching to local management team.

Develop and establish trusted relationships with stakeholders.

Guide leaders through change management initiatives to deliver and meet business needs.

Work with leaders and managers to identify HR needs and develop strategic plan to align resources.

Responsible for delivering all HR calendar driven activities for the site.

Provide pro-active and relevant communication and buy in from key stakeholders.

Provide leadership to the HR team.

Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resources. requirements; updating policies; conducting investigations; maintaining records.

Continuously improve existing HR systems and processes.

Support in attaining Revenue targets by maintaining oversight of compensation, structure, salary adjustment and internal budgets.

Manage employee relations, performance improvement plans, investigations, and sensitive employee matters

Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive outcomes and ensure alignment across the organization.

Provide site level reporting and metrics.

Work closely with Country HR leader to ensure alignment with country-wide initiatives and policy orientations.

Oversee and manage a performance management and managing talent as well as succession planning processes that drives high performance.

Other duties as required.

Skills and qualifications

Minimum of a bachelors degree or equivalent in Human Resources experience

10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions

Broad knowledge and experience in employment laws, compensation, organization development, employee relations, health and safety, performance management, and training and development

CHRP designation preferred

Exceptional oral and written communication skills

Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills, with a high level of emotional intelligence

Demonstrated ability to lead and develop Human Resources staff members

Demonstrated ability to serve as a successful participant on the management team meetings

Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office 365

Knowledge of HRIS Workday is an asset

Maintains a high level of confidentiality

Excellent organizational skills

Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred

Extensive knowledge of Ontario labor laws

Expertise in managing complex employee cases.
