Job Description

On behalf of our client, we are searching for a Human Resources Manager for a position in Burns Lake, BC.

Compensation: Up to $125K

Responsibilities:

• Delivers HR service and support to the Division.
• Works closely with other Department Managers to develop and implement correct policies and processes as well as the introduction of new initiatives and programs.
• Works with the HR Manager and other Department Managers to standardise conditions and pay scales across the site.
• Manages the recruitment and selection process for the areas of responsibility.
• Manages the HR team to ensure smooth operation of the HR function for your part of the Operations.
• Takes responsibility for the preparation of employment contracts and letters of offer and associated paperwork for your area of responsibility.
• Co-ordinates the induction process for new employees.
• Co-ordinates the required medicals for new hires and existing employees.
• Provides ongoing coaching and counselling to managers in HR principles and practices for the effective management of employees.
• Gives advice on workforce planning, retention programs, and business structure.
• Deals with the administrative aspects for employees separating from the company.
• Ensures timely delivery of accurate data.
• Responsible for management and maintenance of employee data.
• Works with the HR Director and site HR Manager to implement new systems and processes in accordance with company policy.
• Additional scope:
• Builds relationships with other HR team members across the Group.
• Builds and maintain a network with external HR practitioners.

Qualifications:

• University degree in Human Resources or related field
• CHRL is an asset
• 5+ years in a senior HR role
• Manufacturing industry experience
• Must have excellent labour relations and unionized environment background
• MS-Office
