As the Human Resources Manager you will be responsible for recruitment, on/off-boarding, employee relations, company policy and procedure compliance, performance management and all HR programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as primary point of contact to all managers and employees of the company in regard to HR matters.
Manage full-cycle recruitment including interviews, employment contracts and salary negotiations, and on-boarding.
Manage employee records and ensure compliance.
Manage annual performance review process with department managers and executive team.
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures. Complete annual reviews and updates of polices as needed.
Implement staff engagement, appreciation and employee recognition activities.
Manage off-boarding, voluntary and involuntary terminations of employment.
Manage payroll processing for both exempt and non-exempt employees.
Process company contributions to the Canadian Pension Plan for employees.
Conduct regular salary surveys to ensure competitive compensation and compliance with legislation such as the Pay Equity Act.
Manage Workers Compensation Claims
Address employee concerns and issues, investigate complaints and resolve workplace conflicts.
Manage employee benefits.
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred.
CPHR preferred.
Minimum of 5 years in a Human Resource role with at least 2 years in a management position.
Ability to multitask and work in a high-volume environment while meeting deadlines
Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with others.
Ability to lead, prioritize and organize work effectively.
Familiar with overall functions of HRIS platforms.
Strong people skills
Ability to use Microsoft Office Functions (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook
