What we are looking for



We're looking for an experienced HR Manager to lead our HR operations and guide a growing team. Reporting to VP of Finance, you'll drive core HR programs, ensure compliance across multiple regions, and champion a positive, high-performance culture. This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll make a real impact by building efficient processes, mentoring your team, and supporting organizational success in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities



Lead and mentor the HR team, providing guidance on employee relations, HR processes, and operational priorities. Drive the review and modernization of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practices. Assist with the implementation and ongoing management of new HR/Payroll system, supporting configuration, adoption, and optimization efforts as part of the project team. Design and continuously improve recruiting, onboarding, and orientation programs to deliver a consistent and engaging employee experience. Manage employee engagement and recognition initiatives to foster a positive, high-performance culture. Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations across Canada and the U.S. Be the voice of HR and our people, ensuring decisions reflect both business goals and a positive employee experience. Coordinate the annual performance review cycle and coach managers on effective feedback and career development conversations. Use HR data and insights to spot trends, solve challenges, and make improvements that keep our processes effective and employee experience strong. Develop and deliver training and development programs that strengthen leadership capability and support employee growth. Work closely with leadership to ensure HR programs support operational goals.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, including 2+ years in a management role.

Proven experience leading HR operations and guiding a team. Strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. employment laws and compliance requirements. Hands-on experience with HRIS systems; exposure to a major HR system implementation or optimization is an asset. CHRP/CHRL designation is an asset. Experience in retail or multi-site environments is an asset Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build trust and influence at all levels. Strong organizational and project management skills, detail oriented; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
