REPORTS TO: Director of Talent and Development (HR)
LOCATION: 1425 Queensway, Etobicoke, Ontario

Summary
The Manager, Talent & Development (HR) will provide functional support to the business, and particularly to the commercial and home office client groups. You will execute on a variety of HR functions and Programs, in the consistent and effective application of policies, procedures, and practices of Human Resources for all team members and leaders in the assigned functions, and other client groups when required.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Act as a HR business partner to the home office client groups and assist in developing and providing solutions resulting in improved business results
  • Coach Team Leaders / Group Leaders regarding Team Member relations issues and assist with performance management to ensure successful performance
  • Act as an advisor for hiring decisions when needed, providing guidance, direction and advice on employment related issues including recruitment & selection programs, talent acquisition leadership and support to the business
  • Driving performance management programs to ensure successful performance of Team Members
  • Provide support and analysis of assessments
  • Conduct New Team Member and Post-Hire Orientations
  • Coordinating and ensuring HR records are processed accurately (Employment contracts, personal information, salaries etc.)
  • Educate and consult with all Team Members regarding HR policies, legislation and procedures to ensure consistent practices
  • Maintain policies, procedures and legal guidelines
  • Provide professional customer service to the business
  • Perform other related functions and special projects as required


Required Experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as an HR Generalist
  • Completed post-secondary education in Business or Human Resources Management
  • Previous experience with recruitment and selection, Employment Standards; Team Member relations, health & safety, performance & rewards
  • Previous experience supporting various business units
  • CHRP designation or working towards is an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
