Position Summary:
We're seeking
an experienced and strategic Human Resources Manager
to lead and execute all HR functions in alignment with organizational objectives. This role oversees recruitment, training, performance management, employee relations and compliance across our Canadian operations (currently, 3 branches and 50+ employees). The HR Manager will develop policies in accordance with employment acts and standards, advise leadership on HR strategies and drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention. with strong interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of Canadian labor laws, and a commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top-tier, diverse candidates.
Plan human resource requirements in conjunction with other departmental managers.
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle
, including onboarding, training and employee integration.
Design and administer competitive compensation, benefits, and health insurance programs.
Advise and assist leadership and other departmental managers on interpretation and administration of HR policies, labor laws, and workplace best practices.
Prepare and maintain employee handbook and HR policies
, ensuring compliance with Canadian employment standards, human rights legislation, and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and ensure compliance at the workplace
, report to the leadership, and conduct performance management initiatives.
Handle employee requests, address any concerns, investigate complaints, and assist in conflict resolution.
Ensure fairness throughout disciplinary proceedings or terminations, and ensure adherence to contract clauses during/after employment.
Design and implement engagement and retention programs
to enhance productivity and job satisfaction.
Analyze HR metrics and present insights to senior leadership for strategic decision-making.
Act as the primary liaison for external communications related to HR (CRA, labor boards, etc.).
Carry on regular HR administrative functions
, including scheduling, payroll, time-off/vacation management, and record-keeping.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
7+ years of experience
in human resources management in a Canadian setting.
In-depth knowledge of
employment laws, labor standards, and HR best practices
in Canadian jurisdictions.
Proven track record in talent acquisition, retention and employee development.
Proficiency in basic computer skills, Google Workspace, MS Office Suite, Payroll software and HR applications.
Proficiency in English (verbal and written).
Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
.
Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
Exceptional organizational and analytical abilities to prioritize and manage tasks.
High ethical standards, discretion, and a solution-oriented mindset.
Ability to work independently, lead initiatives, and collaborate across all organizational levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Business Administration (MBA) or
HR certification (CHRP/CHRL)

Experience in change management and organizational development.
Proficiency in French.
Management experience in service industries (incorporation, paralegal, digital marketing etc.).
