Job Description

Mira Facilitation Center provides tailored supports to assist individuals with developmental disabilities as they work towards goals that matter to them. We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to fill a 1 year Maternity Leave position.Hours: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours/week, 8am-3:30pm
Rate of Pay: Wages will be discussed during the interview process
Start Date: September 2022, contract to cover a 1 year Maternity Leave

Location: Edmonton South, AlbertaResponsibilities:
-Be familiar with Mira Policy and Procedures, WHMIS, and the Health and Safety Manuals at all times
-Creation and maintenance of employee personnel files
-Facilitation and maintenance of Group Benefits Program
-Posting job ads, pre-screening candidates, arranging and completing interviews, checking references, hiring successful candidates
-Completion of monthly payroll using ADP Pay@Work
-Scheduling training and maintaining the schedule, ensuring staff are aware of when trainings are due, issuing training certificates
-Participate in conflict management and resolution between and among agency employees.
-Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable Employment Standards requirements
-Maintain professional industry knowledge through regularly attending committee meetings, and informative sessions as applicable
-Other duties as assignedEducation and Experience:
-Completion of high school
-Certificate or diploma in Human Resources Management
-1+ years of related experienceTraining and Clearances:
-Clear police information check and vulnerable sector search
-Abuse Prevention & Response training*
-Best Practices training*

-Well-developed computer and writing/reporting skills; internet search skills; basic use of financial/budget management, database and analysis tools
-Effective communication skills
-Effective time and priority management skills
-Ability to work well independently or as a part of a team
