Position Overview

We're looking for an HR Business Partner to partner with assigned client groups at our Vancouver headquarters and select international locations. In this role, you will provide a wide range of core HR services and support including employee relations, talent acquisition compensation, talent development, and succession planning. You'll also play a key role in improving HR processes and aligning them with our evolving business needs.



The ideal candidate has experience in HR advisory, strong technical skills, and a continuous improvement mindset. With a business acumen, you'll see the bigger picture, analyze organizational interactions, and find ways to enhance efficiency.This role requires a balance of strategic thinking and tactical hands-on execution, while managing day-to-day operational tasks in a lean team--making you a crucial partner in shaping Cespira's growth and innovation.

Position Responsibilities

Human Resources

• Partner with people leaders and management at the Vancouver site (Corporate HQ) and within the international client group to understand business goals and translate them into actionable HR strategies.
• Lead the implementation of HR programs, services, processes, and procedures to align with the evolving needs of the business through change and transformation.
• Work in collaboration with international HR partners in development and delivering global HR initiatives, ensuring consistency and effectiveness across regions.


Compensation

• Lead compensation survey participation for NA (i.e. summarizing data, reviewing submissions for relevance, etc.)
• Manage compensation reviews, including promotions, bonus structures, and annual merit increases, ensuring equity and alignment with market trends.
• Support the preparation and distribution of employee compensation communications.


Talent Acquisition

• Partner with hiring managers to understand team requirements and develop targeted recruitment strategies that attract top talent
• Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviews, offer negotiations, and onboarding logistics.
• Stay abreast of market trends to maintain a competitive edge in talent acquisition.


Employee Relations & Development

• Act as a trusted advisor on employee relations issues, working with both managers and employees to resolve concerns promptly and effectively.
• Support leadership in executing performance management cycles, merit reviews, and employee recognition programs.
• Advise managers on handling performance issues, disciplinary actions, and terminations with sensitivity and professionalism.
• Provide guidance on team structure optimization, identifying opportunities to strengthen capabilities through talent development.
• Oversee contract changes, transfers, and department reorganizations, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with business goals.


Reporting & Compliance

• Track and analyze workforce data, metrics, generating insights and reports to support data-driven HR decisions including reporting for ESG programs and reports
• Ensure compliance with Integrated Management System (IMS) and ISO standards through diligent HR process management.
• Lead or support special HR projects as needed.
• Support implementation of efficient, effective tools and technology to support the Human Resources function in order to provide exceptional customer service
• Other HR projects as required


Position Requirements

• 5+ years progressive generalist or advisory experience in HR, preferably with as STEM focused organization
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
• Hands-on experience in the area of Compensation, equity analysis, and salary benchmarking
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, particularly in HR strategy and conflict resolution.
• Business acumen to align HR strategies with organizational objectives and drive impactful outcomes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of delivering clear and precise messages to all levels of the organization and influence decisions
• Collaborative team player with demonstrated professional and emotional maturity and judgment to handle sensitive situations with diplomacy, tact and high ethical standards
• Strong ability to effectively perform in a complex, high change environment while being a positive steward for the business
• Strong proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and HR data analysis.
• High level of intercultural competence
• CPHR designation or working toward is preferred
• •• Proficiency in Italian Language (verbal and written) is an asset

Salary Range
