Key Responsibilities:
Assist with all people related matters in all divisions and positions
Becoming a trusted HR business advisor for the management team
Strong business acumen with proven ability to manage diverse recruitment initiatives
Participate in developing organizational guidelines, memos, and procedures
Recommend strategies to motivate employees
Effectively engaged employees and communicate with all levels of the organization providing advice, assistance and follow-up policies and procedures
Support, coach and counsel departmental heads in employee relations and legislative matters
Conduct investigations when required
Manage the recruitment process by identifying candidates through vendors or within search engines e.g., Linked In or Indeed, conducting reference checks, set up interviews, screening the candidates and issuing employment offers
Communicate with Independent contractors for contractual offers
Issue promotion and rate change letters
Manage contract end dates and contract renewals
Investigate all the complaints brought forward by staff
Schedule and perform orientations and update records of new staff
Manage the organization's staff database and prepare reports
Mange all aspects involved in full cycle recruiting including sourcing, qualifying, interviewing, presentation and selection, and all administrative components
Ensure the recruitment process is completed in a fast, efficient and professional manner within the set turnaround time
Produce and submit reports on generalist activities and education statuses
Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practice
Organize communications between Client Management team and new hires
Build strong working relationships with managers and help identify potential talent and opportunities at an early stage
Keep up to date with all portfolios on Resource Allocation
Ensuring adherence to labor laws, company policies, and industry regulations
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Completion of Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related
One (1) to two (2) years of Human Resources is required
Experience in Nuclear is considered an asset
CHRL, CHRL or CHRE designation would be an asset
An action orientated mind-set, high energy level and willing to take the lead
Additional Information:
Strong preference given to those with valid Bruce Power security clearance
40 - 60 Hour Work week
