Location: Mississauga, ON

Monday to Friday 8 am-4:30 pm

14 Month Contract

The Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in supporting day-to-day HR operations across recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and HR administration. This position works closely with employees and managers to ensure policies are applied consistently, processes run smoothly, and a positive workplace culture is maintained.

Key Responsibilities



Talent Acquisition & Onboarding



Create and post job openings, review applications, and conduct screening interviews, coordinate interviews with managers. Support the hiring process, including reference checks and letters of offer Implement onboarding processes

Employee Relations



Act as a first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits and procedures Support managers with disciplinary actions, including preparing documentation and ensuring compliance with company policies. Provide guidance to employees and managers on workplace matters, and conflict resolution Support initiatives to improve employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture. Conduct exit interviews and summarize feedback for department management. Track and report attendance and absences. Assist in monitoring and tracking company-issued assets (e.g., cellphones, keys, computers etc.) and ensuring retrieval upon employee's exit.

Performance & Development



Coordinate annual performance review processes and track completion. Assist managers with documenting performance feedback and development plans Schedule and track employee training sessions to ensure compliance.

Compliance & Record Keeping



Ensure compliance with provincial employment standards regulations, and company policies Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and files, ensuring confidentiality.

Compensation & Benefits:



Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries Maintain vacation/PTO records and support leave administration. Prepare and process payroll with ADP, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Process Year End T4's or other related tax documents

Health & Safety



Assist in ensuring compliance with provincial health and safety regulations and company policies. Monitor and report on workplace safety incidents, conduct investigations, and ensure timely corrective actions. Submit and maintain workers compensation claims Coordinate safety committees, employee safety training, and other initiatives to ensure a safe work environment. Track and maintain records of safety inspections, and injury reports.

Requirements



Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 2-4 years of HR experience Proficiency with ADP payroll system (Required) Strong knowledge of employment standards and HR best practices. Experience supporting or coordinating disciplinary processes. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 14 months

Pay: $57,000.00-$63,000.00 per year
