We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented

HR Generalist - Team Member Relations

to join our team. This role focuses on fostering a positive work environment by managing employee relations matters while also supporting training and development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employee relations within a manufacturing environment, possess a high sense of integrity and confidentiality, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and employment laws while promoting employee engagement and performance.

About the role:




The HR Generalist - Team Member Relations supports a positive, productive workplace by managing day-to-day employee relations and contributing to key HR initiatives in a manufacturing environment. This role requires strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills to address workplace concerns, ensure policy and legal compliance, and promote fairness and accountability.


Key responsibilities include conducting internal investigations, advising managers on performance and conduct issues, and ensuring consistent application of HR policies. The Generalist works closely with employees and leaders to manage sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.


Beyond employee relations, this role supports training and development by identifying skill gaps, coordinating learning opportunities, and helping implement development programs aligned with business needs and talent strategies. Success requires a strong understanding of HR principles, employment law, and organizational dynamics in a manufacturing setting. This is a hands-on, people-focused role ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Canadian Headquarters: 36 Vimy Street, Acton ON.

Responsibilities:



Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations matters and in addressing concerns in alignment with company policies. Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, performance management, and workplace best practices. Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints, concerns, and workplace incidents, ensuring fair and consistent resolutions. Assist with performance management processes, including coaching managers on corrective action steps. Support HR initiatives, including employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and workforce planning. Work with department leaders in collaboration with Talent team for recruitment and succession planning needs; from job description reviews, interviews to offers. Escalate high risk or sensitive employee relations issues to HR leadership. Manage leave of absences and disability for the Acton office location. Coordinate and execute training and development initiatives as directed by senior HR leadership via annual training plan. Create content and support in the administration of learning management systems and training platforms as needed. Ensure compliance with all employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices. Attend meetings outside of regular work schedule to support team members on midnight shift as required or at least once a month.

Qualifications:



Minimum three (3) years of HR experience with a focus on compliance and employee relations in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Post-secondary degree / diploma in HR, Business Administration or related field. CHRP/L designation is considered an asset. Working knowledge of employment legislation is required. Experience in recruitment is highly preferred. Proficiency in HRIS systems (ADP WFN) and MS Office Suite is required; experience with AI preferred Strong problem solving and organizational skills Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality.
