Who You Are
We are looking for a HR Coordinator who plays a key role in supporting day-to-day Human Resources operations and people programs across the organization.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their HR career who enjoys being hands-on, working closely with employees and leaders, and building strong foundations across the employee lifecycle. You're organized, approachable, and eager to learn, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering a positive employee experience.

The Role
First 6 Months - Learn & Support
Support the HR department with day-to-day operations and company-wide HR initiatives
Act as a first point of contact for employee HR inquiries, escalating complex matters as needed
Assist with onboarding, offboarding, employee documentation, and file management
Maintain accurate employee records across HR systems and personnel files
Learn MRG's HR policies, programs, and compliance requirements across provinces
Support the coordination of employee resources and access, including devices, systems, and tools
Build strong working relationships with employees across the organization
Ongoing - Grow & Contribute
Support the coordination, promotion, and execution of MRG Way training programs
Partner with Recruitment to support special programs, including internship programs
Coordinate office administration activities as they relate to HR operations
Assist with policy updates and ensure alignment with employment standards, human rights legislation, and health & safety requirements
Support employee relations matters, with guidance from the HR Manager and senior HR partners as applicable
Support internal HR communications and updates
Track and report basic HR metrics
Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, documentation, and employee experience
Take on increased responsibility and ownership as experience and confidence grow
Partner with HR and Recruitment to identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives
What We're Looking For
1-3 years of experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Administrator, or HR Generalist support role
Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field
Foundational understanding of Canadian employment legislation
Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
Clear, professional communication skills and a service-oriented mindset
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Interest in building a long-term career in Human Resources
Bonus if you:
CHRP designation completed or in progress is an asset
Have experience in hospitality, entertainment, retail, or multi-location environments
Have used an ATS or HR system (training will be provided)
Have used a project management system (training will be provided)
Are curious about talent development, HR programs, or people analytics
Enjoy improving processes and bringing structure to busy, dynamic teams
