We\'re looking for someone who can change the paradigm for Canadian youth living in poverty. Someone who enjoys building partnerships, making an impact, and working with energetic, high-performing teams. Is that you?

Pathways to Education is a national, charitable organization breaking the cycle of poverty through education. Its award-winning program is creating positive social change by supporting youth living in low-income communities to overcome barriers to education, graduate from high school, and build the foundation for a successful future. Through the collective power of partnerships, Pathways to Education\'s innovative program is preparing youth for tomorrow.

The Opportunity
As a key member of Pathways\' Talent Management team, you will help to create an environment for people to do their best work. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will have administrative and operational responsibilities across all aspects of human resources with a primary focus on recruiting and onboarding new staff, managing employee data, and responding to employee inquiries.

As the successful candidate you bring an exacting attention to detail, the ability to communicate with empathy and discretion, and a desire to work in an organization committed to improving outcomes for youth across Canada.

  • Provide an exceptional onboarding experience for new employees by coordinating and administering communications, data collection, trainings, and orientation. Track and continuously improve Pathways\' onboarding process to ensure it is engaging and effective.
  • Be the expert on our human resources data and information systems: updating employee data, generating insightful reports, testing new HRIS modules, and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Conduct research and make updates to our people policies and processes to ensure they reflect current best practices and legislation and are consistent with Pathways\' brand and values.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our employees as a key point of contact for people-related inquiries. Create and manage an efficient system for tracking requests, deadlines, and follow-ups.
  • Provide administrative support to a variety of people-related tasks including the preparation of accurate and engaging communications, triaging incoming information requests, and liaising with external vendors.
What You Bring
  • Two or more years of related experience providing administrative or coordination support on a human resources team.
  • Post-secondary education or training in human resources or related area; CHRP in progress would be an asset.

  • Excellent communication skills. Able to communicate with empathy and professionalism. Handles confidential information with the highest degree of discretion.
  • Understanding of, and commitment to advancing, the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Bilingual, English/French, would be a strong asset.
