SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:

Human Resources Coordinator (16-month maternity leave contract)

The Human Resources Coordinator is a vital member of the HR team, responsible for providing administrative support, facilitating HR processes, and assisting both employees and management with a wide range of human resource matters. This position serves as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the HR department and its alignment with organizational goals


WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Recruitment and Onboarding:

Coordinate recruitment activities, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates. Facilitate new employee orientations and onboarding processes, ensuring completion of necessary paperwork and training modules. Maintain accurate recruitment and onboarding records in HR information systems. Maintain filing systems and assist with records management for the department.

HR Administration:

Organize and maintain confidential employee files, ensuring compliance with legal standards and company policies. Process a variety of employee status changes, such as promotions, transfers, and terminations

Employee Relations:

Serve as the point of contact for employee questions related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures. Support the HR Manager in resolving employee concerns and conflicts, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies. Promote a positive workplace culture through effective communication and engagement initiatives.

Training and Development:

Coordinate employee training sessions, workshops, and professional development programs Assist in tracking completion of mandatory training and certifications via internal HR systems Support continuous improvement initiatives for employee learning and growth

HR Projects and Initiatives:

Participate in or lead HR-related projects, such as employee engagement surveys, wellness programs, and policy reviews. Support the implementation of new HR technologies or systems. Contribute to the development and updating of employee handbooks and HR policies. Perform other duties related to the general administration of the Human Resources department as required.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR administrative or coordinator role. Strong understanding of HR principles, best practices, and employment legislation. Experience with HR information systems and standard office software (MS Office Suite, SAP, ATS, etc.). Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity. Strong problem-solving skills and a customer service-oriented approach.
