As the first point of contact in HR, the Human Resources Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring a welcoming, respectful, and responsive experience for staff while helping to advance HR programs, services, and initiatives. Your work will directly support employee growth, wellness, and engagement across the Nation.

What You'll Do

Provide front-line HR administrative support, responding to inquiries with courtesy, tact, and diplomacy. Coordinate HR records and ensure the accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity of employee information. Prepare regular reports, presentations, and HR metrics to support decision-making. Draft and distribute communications for HR initiatives, programs, and announcements. Support learning and development, performance management, recognition, and internal HR events. Schedule and coordinate internal and external meetings, training, and room bookings. Track employee training and certifications, ensuring compliance with requirements. Assist with employee benefits administration (enrollment, changes, inquiries). Contribute to new HR initiatives and special projects that enhance the employee experience. Support and adhere to workplace health & safety policies, safe work practices, and procedures.

What We're Looking For

Certificate in Human Resources, Business Administration, Office Administration, or related field. 2+ years' experience providing HR or administrative support in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities. Demonstrated discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential information. Strong technical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; experience with ADP WorkForce Now an asset. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with a focus on customer service. Knowledge of Squamish Nation government, administration, and community protocols preferred. Willingness to engage in professional development related to HR functions, employment law, and emerging practices. Cultural humility and respect for Sk?wx?wu?7mesh values, sovereignty, and self-determination.

Salary:

$44,000 - $61,500


Candidates are typically offered compensation between the beginning to the midpoint of the range. We are committed to providing a fair and equitable package that reflects the value an individual brings to the organization.
