THE OPPORTUNITY
We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to support our growing team. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the HR Manager in implementing and improving HR processes and initiatives.
Assist with recruitment activities, including job postings, resume screening, and interview coordination.
Conduct onboarding and orientation for new hires to ensure a smooth transition.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including benefits and policy documentation.
Enter and update employee data in the HRIS/payroll system (e.g., hires, transfers, compensation changes,).
Prepare HR documentation such as employment letters, contract end notices, and reports.
Promote employee engagement and contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Contribute to HR projects and programs (e.g., wellness, DEI, training).
Assist in compiling HR metrics and reports to support strategic decision-making.
Support the HR Manager in coordinating quarterly staff meetings, including scheduling, logistics, and liaising with internal or external speakers.
JOB REQUIREMENSTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
College diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in a Human Resources department preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint); experience with payroll and HRIS systems (e.g., ADP or similar) is an asset.
Experience using Excel to support HR processes such as payroll, compensation reviews, and reporting.
Knowledge of New Brunswick labor regulations is an advantage.
Excellent attention to detail, with strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records and prepare reports.
Professional, dependable, and able to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and maintain confidentiality.
Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently while contributing to team goals.
Cultural sensitivity and awareness, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive environment.
