POSITION SUMMARY
As a Human Resources Coordinator, you will report directly to HR Manager, M&IS. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining accurate HRIS data, processing employee changes with a high degree of accuracy, coordinating onboarding documentation, managing employee records, and supporting benefit administration. This role plays a critical role in ensuring HR operations run smoothly. The HR coordinator is dependable, resourceful, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrative Support
Maintain accurate employee data in the HR Information System (HRIS), including personal employee information, compensation, job status changes, transfer and termination status, etc. and ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
Create and maintain HR trackers, KPIS, etc.
Prepare letters, memos, and HR-related documentation.
Responsible for hourly employee attendance tracking, vacation tracking, and changes
Support HR reporting needs by preparing regular and ad hoc reports using crystal reports and HR Trackers.
Track Performance Reviews (probationary and annual) to completion.
Recruitment & Onboarding
Assist each site and HR with recruitment needs such as postings, contacting candidates and scheduling interviews, pre-employment checks, etc.
Coordinate new hires first day including onboarding schedule and activities, documentation, training, and entering into systems, as applicable.
Prepare US employment eligibility forms (I-9)
Assist in recruitment, onboarding, as well as training and development initiatives as required.
Benefit Administration
Support benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, termination and responding to employee benefit inquiries.
Maintain STD / LTD trackers including updating in HRIS and communication with payroll and managers
Liaise with benefit providers to resolve employee issues or questions
Health & Safety Support
Assist in maintaining workplace health and safety records and documentation.
Support Joint Health & Safety Committee activities and compliance reporting.
Help coordinate safety training, initiatives, and employee communications including toolbox talks.
Ensure safety-related policies, signage, and procedures are current and accessible.
Other
Work closely with the HR team and site leads to standardizing HR process, procedures, and ensure work instructions are followed accordingly.
Collaborate with payroll to ensure correct processing of the HR related data.
Support employee engagement activities
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree/college diploma in a related field
Minimum of 1-4 years experience of strong Human Resource (HR) administration or related support role preferably in manufacturing/ production environment preferred.
Knowledge of principles and practices of HR administration and legislation and policies
Proficiency in MS Office
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Can work well under pressure, prioritize, multitask
Can operate autonomously and on a team in a deadline driven environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Familiarity with U.S legislations and regulations is considered an asset.
