This is a hands-on, process-focused role that touches many areas of HR: recruiting, onboarding, payroll support, benefits, employee communication, and more. It's perfect for someone who prefers dependable routines and being the go-to person for getting things done right.
Reports to: HR Generalist
What You'll Be Doing:
Recruitment & Onboarding
Support recruitment efforts for hourly roles, including resume screening and pre-screening calls
Schedule interviews and coordinate candidate communication with hiring managers
Conduct reference checks and draft offer letters
Manage onboarding logistics in UKG Pro and send welcome packages, schedules, and documentation
HR Administration & Support
Assist with payroll processing using UKG Pro
Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS updates
Support internal recognition and award programs
Draft and distribute internal newsletters to share company news and employee celebrations
Provide administrative assistance with training, development, and compliance initiatives
Guide employees on HR systems, benefits, and policy inquiries
Participate in HR & Safety department meetings and contribute to operational goals
Reporting & Engagement
Draft weekly HR reports covering job vacancies and recruiting status
Analyze HR metrics such as turnover, attendance, and performance
Build out scorecards and insights to support data-driven decisions
Your Average Week Will Look Like:
Kick off Monday by compiling the weekly HR report covering job vacancies, and recruiting status spreadsheet.
Review and sort incoming resumes for active job postings along with conducting pre-screening calls and begin scheduling interviews with hiring managers.
Follow up on reference checks and draft letters of employment.
Support onboarding for new hires by sending welcome materials, schedules, and required documentation.
Update and maintain employee files and records.
Uploading and coordinating our recognition program for the committee.
Begin drafting internal news letter highlighting our recognition program and business updates.
Analyze HR metrics (turnover, performance, attendance) and build out scorecards.
What You Bring:
1-2 years of experience in HR coordination, administration, or a related support role
Excellent organization and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with HRIS systems (UKG Pro experience a plus)
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
