Position: Human Resources Coordinator



Location: Blue River, BC



Type: Year Round, Full Time



Reports to: Human Resources Manager



Overview





The Human Resources Coordinator supports the effective delivery of HR programs and services across the organization. Working closely with the HR Manager, this role provides assistance in recruitment, onboarding, compliance, training, employee relations, and day-to-day HR administration. This position requires discretion, strong interpersonal skills, and a proactive, organized approach.



Responsibilities





1.

Recruitment & Onboarding



Assist with job postings, resume screening, and interviews under the direction of the HR Manager. Coordinate new hire onboarding, including documentation, policy review, system setup, and payroll information collection. Maintain and update onboarding materials and assist with orientation sessions.


2. Offboarding



Support exit processes, including preparing employment letters and conducting exit interviews. Track and report on exit feedback

Compliance & Research



Ensure HR practices comply with employment laws and internal policies. Stay informed on HR best practices, legislative changes, and workforce trends. Build partnerships with schools, agencies, and local organizations to support talent acquisition.

4. Management of Employee Information



Assisting with managing employee files and documentation, ensuring all necessary information is saved electronically in the employee file. Tracking and documenting employee training. Updating and managing Human Resources-related lists, including any of the following: staff ski lists, HR staff lists, staff housing, certifications, employee referrals. Preparing various reports from Workday.


5. Benefits & Health and Safety



Administer employee benefits and support benefits-related inquiries. Assist with WorkSafeBC claims, incident reports, and workplace investigations. Support Health & Safety inspections, first aid tracking, and posting of required notices. Participate in emergency response planning, drills, and actual emergency support if required.


5. Employee Programs



Assist with employee engagement programs including recognition, referrals, wellness, and mental health initiatives. Participate in the Staff Events Committee and contribute to planning and executing internal events. Assist with staff accommodation logistics and inspections.


6. General Administration



Provide administrative support for various HR initiatives and special projects. Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Perform other duties as assigned by the HR Manager.


Qualifications and Skills:



HR-related experience and working knowledge of employment standards and relevant legislation. HR-related certification or diploma would be an asset Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Demonstrated confidentiality and cultural sensitivity. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). English fluency (C2 level or equivalent) in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Class 4 driver's licence would be an asset Intermediate Occupational First Aid would be an asset

Compensation:

starting at $25 per hour based on experience and qualifications, eligible for benefits after 90-day probationary period
