Position Summary:
The Human Resources Coordinator plays a vital administrative role within the People & Culture department of CMHA HPE. This position supports human resources operations by coordinating documentation processes, maintaining organized and compliant employee records, preparing materials for internal communications and training, and ensuring accurate data entry and file management. Working under the guidance of the Human Resources Manager, the Coordinator provides essential support for offboarding processes, documentation, and general departmental organization. The role requires a high level of confidentiality, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-centered environment.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
CHRP designation or progress toward certification considered an asset.
Minimum 2 years of administrative experience in human resources or related office environment.
Experience working in unionized, non-profit, or healthcare/community mental health sectors preferred.
Understanding of HR administrative practices including personnel file maintenance, documentation control, and privacy regulations.
Familiarity with collective agreements, unionized environments, and grievance processes.
Basic knowledge of Ontario employment and labour law.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work with sensitivity and discretion in a confidential environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
Professionalism in working with staff at all levels, including union representatives and leadership.
Collaborative, solution-focused approach with strong interpersonal awareness.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
Familiarity with data tracking, program evaluation, and reporting systems.
Required to provide a satisfactory criminal record check (CRC) prior to hire
