The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated Human Resources Consultant to join our Human Resources Team! The ideal candidate would have strong leadership and communication skills, a high attention to detail, and strong personal accountability. They will be working with clients to help them achieve their Human Resources goals and will act as a resource for clients regarding recruitment, policies and compliance, training, performance management, investigations and more!
About the Gig
  • Provide excellent client service in various HR areas, including recruitment and selection, training and development, health and safety, employee relations, performance management, policy development and legislative compliance
  • Assist clients in developing and implementing HR systems for their workplace to address human resource challenges using our HR Audit Process
  • Research and gather data to provide clients personalized recommendations
  • Provide day to day support to clients in order to assist them with achieving their business goals and objectives (this may be HR on-call inquiries and/or short-term assignments at the client site)
  • Demonstrate strong technical and professional knowledge
  • Engage in professional development activities and research to remain up-to-date on HR trends and compliance changes
  • Assisting with the development and preparation of materials for HR educational sessions, workshops and communications
  • Demonstrate a reputation as a thought leader in the industry through Blog writing and/or various speaking engagements as needed
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships

About You
  • CHRL designation preferred, but CHRP working toward CHRL would be considered as well
  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources
  • 3-5 years experience in Human Resources
  • Understanding of HR legislation and regulatory environments
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, learn quickly and prioritize
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and personal accountability
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Working knowledge of Zoom and/or other Video Conferencing platforms
  • Previous experience with HRIS would be an asset

About The Details
  • The position will be based out of Guelph, Ontario with flexibility for remote work
  • Please note that this is a HR Generalist level position. The role will operate as an employee of RLB with full team member benefits.
  • Transportation is required for travel to client sites which will have varying vaccination and/or rapid testing requirements depending on the organization/industry/governing body associated
  • Compensation is based on a 37.5 work week however hours may fluctuate throughout the year depending on firm, department and client needs
