POD Marketing is hiring an HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our Strategic HR Services division. In this role, you'll work directly with a portfolio of clients--primarily in the eye care industry--delivering impactful, customized HR solutions that help independent practices build stronger teams and better workplaces.
This isn't a traditional in-house HR role. It's more dynamic, more client-facing, and offers the chance to work across multiple businesses. You'll build strong relationships, solve complex people challenges, and act as a trusted advisor to practice owners and leaders who rely on your guidance and expertise.

Responsibilities
Act as the primary HR advisor for multiple clients, building strong, trust-based relationships and understanding their unique business needs.
Develop and implement customized HR strategies that align with client objectives and industry best practices.
Provide comprehensive HR services, including:
+ Recruitment and onboarding support.
+ Performance management system setup and guidance.
+ Employee relations and conflict resolution.
+ Policy creation, including employee handbooks and job descriptions.
+ Compensation reviews and employee engagement strategies. Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations for clients across North America, providing clients with proactive updates and solutions.
Conduct stay interviews, exit interviews, and other initiatives to improve employee retention and satisfaction.
Offer training and support for HR tools such as BambooHR, ensuring clients maximize their technology investments.
Support clients through organizational changes, including restructuring, terminations, and culture development.
Collaborate with internal teams to innovate and enhance HR services and client deliverables.
Act as a resource for best practices in HR, staying informed of trends and legal updates to ensure clients' success.
Required Experience & Skills
Legally able to work in Canada and located in Calgary, AB.
Minimum 5+ years of experience as an HR professional, preferably in a client-facing or consulting capacity.
Experience in a management or leadership role is preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CHRP) is preferred.
Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-client environment.
Strong knowledge of HR tools, technologies (e.g., BambooHR), and best practices.
Ability to manage multiple clients and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management abilities.
Comprehensive understanding of employment laws and compliance requirements.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Compensation
This role offers a competitive compensation model with room for growth as your client portfolio scales.Includes a comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision) and generous time-off plan.
Compensation is tied to the revenue you manage, allowing you to scale your earnings based on performance and contribution. Expected annual earnings range: $75,000-$100,000+ depending on your client load and impact.
