Human Resources Assistant

Job Overview:
As the HR Assistant you will collaborate with members of the Human Resources Team to ensure positive and productive relationships between employees and the Leadership teams. They manage various aspects of employee relations, including conflict resolution, policy enforcement, and fostering a positive work environment. The successful candidate will be an independent problem solver who can act with integrity, tact, and empathy while handling complex situations.
This role operates on a full-time, in-office basis from Sunday to Thursday.
Responsibilities
Support all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to employee relations activities, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
Assist with benefits administration.
Support the team in inbox management, projects, audits, creating contracts, memos, policy changes, etc.
Provide administrative support in the leave process, including guidance, maintenance, and oversight on the approval and return process.
Ensure all contracts and agreements are up to date and in compliance with legal requirements.
Complete job-change paperwork, such as raises, promotion, terminations, etc.
Conducting intake for employees seeking assistance with employee relations matters.
Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
Participate in Occupational Health and Safety activities.
Assist with ad-hoc projects and provide support as needed to the administrative and leadership teams.
Collaborate with HR team members to ensure consistent and equitable application of policies and procedures.
Requirements
Post-secondary education in HR and/or Business Administration.
Knowledge of and experience working with local HR legislation.
Preferably 1-2 years of HR or related experience.
Excellent English language skills (written and verbal).
Able to work in our Vancouver, BC office.
High attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Comfortable with Microsoft Office and general technology/software.
