Job Summary



The Human Resources Assistantsupports daily HR administration, recruitment coordination, onboarding logistics, and employee record maintenance. This entry-level role is ideal for someone starting an HR career and looking to gain hands-on experience supporting HR processes and Ontario employment standards in a structured, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities



Recruitment Coordination



Post and manage job openings across job boards and internal channels Screen resumes for basic qualifications and coordinate interview scheduling Communicate with candidates regarding next steps and timelines Prepare offer packages and new-hire documentation using approved templates Coordinate reference and background checks (where required)

Onboarding & HR Administration



Prepare onboarding packages and schedule orientations Collect, track, and file onboarding documents (forms, acknowledgements, IDs, etc.) Track probation end dates and coordinate reminders for probation check-ins Support offboarding administration (file updates, property checklist, document processing)

Employee Records & HR Systems



Maintain accurate, confidential employee files Update HRIS/employee records (status changes, contact updates, reporting lines) Maintain HR trackers (training completions, document expiry tracking, attendance logs as assigned) Support basic HR reporting and administrative requests

Policy Support & Compliance



Assist with policy distribution and acknowledgement tracking Support ESA-related HR administration (documentation support for leaves and employee records) Maintain documentation for WSIB-related files as directed (administrative support only) Ensure confidentiality and consistent documentation standards

Qualifications



Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 1-2 years of HR or administrative experience (co-op/internships welcome) Understanding of Ontario ESA & WSIB Strong organization, attention to detail, and discretion with confidential information Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Pay: $48,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
