Position Summary

The Human Resources Assistant is a professional who acts as a resource to staff including the HR Generalists, Consultants, Service Representative and the Education & Student Placement Specialist functions. The incumbent assists with the day to day activities and processes within Corporate Human Resources reporting to HR leadership.

Hours
Monday - Friday 3-days/week with opportunity for up to 37.5 hours based on organizational needs & incumbent availability. Please note this position requires on-site attendance at Belleville General Hospital.

Required

  • Successful completion of post-secondary studies in Human Resources, Business Administration or Business Sales & Marketing,
  • Minimum of 1- year experience in Human Resources support role or other equivalent combination of education and experience,
  • Able to demonstrate high attention to detail and focus on quality of work through interactive interview process,
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment,
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills,
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft office software: Word, Excel, Outlook and, video conference software (e.g. zoom), and
  • Flexibility with hours of work to support and attend recruitment events.
Preferred
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System such as Njoyn and a Human Resources Information System.
Duties

Acts as a resource to staff in supporting the following functions including but not limited to:
- Departmental filing and scanning,
- HRIS data entry,
- Assists with staff enrolment for annual and ongoing e-learning education,
- Creating and editing of interview guides and development of scoring criteria,
- Assists and supports recruitment events tasks,
- Assists with Service award coordination and event tasks,
- Assists with new hire onboarding activities,
- Assists with research/audits as requested, and
- Other duties as assigned by HR leadership.
