Human Resources Assistant

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Student to support HR functions within our Manitoba team.

JOB SUMMARY:

Assist with recruitment and onboarding by preparing job postings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews; Contribute to HR projects such as training initiatives, wellness programs and workplace events; Assist with employee inquires, and benefit registration; Maintain HR systems and documentation including administration, personnel files, attendance tracking, and compliance reports; Assist with duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Currently enrolled or recently completed post-secondary Human Resources, Business Administration, or related program; Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with applicants, employees, managers, and external partners; Basic understanding of HR principles and employment legislation, including recruitment, employee relations, and workplace policies; Proficiency in Microsoft Office for managing data, reports, and documentation and experience with HRIS system considered an asset; Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain professionalism in sensitive situations.

WORKING CONDITIONS :

This position is onsite in Oakbank, Manitoba; Term position - 6 months; Position expected to start April; 40 hours per week; Daytime schedule.
