The Corporation offers a competitive total rewards package including generous benefits, a work-life balance program and participation in the OMERS pension plan.In A Nutshell: Reporting to the Human Resources Business Partner/Manager, Administration EMS, this role serves as the administrative backbone of our Human Resources department. Responsible for managing all administrative HR functions across our organization, the role supports HRBPs, Specialists, and department leadership in day-to-day tasks and facilitates HR processes at all business locations. Additionally, this position collaborates with management on HR matters, ensuring adherence to best practices and alignment with the organization\'s strategic goals.Day in The Life:

  • Recruitment Support: Assist in all stages of recruitment, from posting jobs to conducting interviews and reference checks
  • Records Management: Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant human resource records
  • HRIS Utilization: Efficiently manage employee data in HRIS to ensure accessibility and integrity
  • Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to HR stakeholders
  • Strategic Support: Assist HRBPs in aligning HR initiatives with organizational goals and administering Collective Agreements
  • Employee Inquiries: Address employee inquiries on HR matters while maintaining confidentiality
  • Communication Facilitation: Facilitate communication and feedback on HR topics across departments and contribute to policy development
  • Health and Safety Management: Manage staff certifications and training, coordinate HR training logistics, and support health and safety initiatives
What We Are Looking For:
  • A Three-Year Diploma in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • Minimum of three years of experience in Human Resources, with a preference for public sector experience
  • Practical experience in a unionized environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office programs, as well as database format programs and other relevant software
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to type a minimum of 40 WPM
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a keen sense of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Understanding of legal terminology, legal documents, and the ability to locate, read, and understand legislation
  • Proven ability to manage sensitive and confidential information using sound judgment and established policies and procedures
