The HR Assistant works closely with Operations and Management to ensure people-related processes are organized, compliant, and running smoothly.
This position is ideal for someone early in their HR career or transitioning from administration into human resources.
Key Responsibilities
Support recruitment activities, including job postings and resume coordination
Assist with onboarding and orientation of new employees
Maintain employee records, training documentation, and personnel files
Track certifications, training, and compliance requirements
Support timekeeping, attendance tracking, and basic HR reporting
Assist with scheduling training, orientations, and safety onboarding
Respond to basic employee inquiries and direct issues as appropriate
Support company policies, procedures, and documentation updates
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Qualifications & Experience
1-3 years of experience in HR, administration, or office support
Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
Comfortable using basic office software (email, spreadsheets, document management)
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Education & Assets
High school diploma required
Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field an asset
HR coursework or working toward a CPHR considered an asset
