Job Overview:

As our HR Advisor, you'll be a trusted partner to leaders and team members across all divisions. You will support a positive work culture, help guide performance and development, and ensure our people practices align with our values of Responsibility, Integrity, Service, and Excellence. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager you will be responsible for:


Demonstrating Four Rivers Co-operative's values of Responsibility, Integrity, Service, and Excellence Partnering with leaders to foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture Providing guidance on employee relations, including coaching, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation Supporting the disciplinary process (documentation, communication, coaching leaders, and participating in meetings when required) Managing the disability management process, including early intervention, return-to-work planning, and liaising with our coverage provider Guiding leaders through key talent management activities: goal setting, performance reviews, coaching, development planning, onboarding, and offboarding Maintaining accurate, confidential HR records in line with legislation and internal policy Traveling within our geographical region when required Assist our Health & Safety Advisor with ongoing support of the safety program.

What You Bring:



Have 1-3 years of HR Advisor experience, preferably in a retail environment Possess a certificate in Human Resources Management (a combination of experience and education may be considered) CPHR designation is considered an asset You are flexible and calm when managing tight deadlines, competing tasks, and changes You have the ability to perform at a high level of integrity and confidentiality Demonstrated commitment to professional development and staying updated with policy, legislation and best practices Proven ability to work under pressure and provide accurate advice in line with policy and legislation You're honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
