Job Description

Founded in 1961, the Association of Construction and Housing Professionals of Quebec (APCHQ) is a private, non-profit organization that, through its network and regional associations, represents and supports nearly 28,000 companies in the residential construction and renovation industry. Since 1995, it has been the employers' association mandated to negotiate the collective agreement on behalf of employers in the residential construction sector. The APCHQ's mission is to be a unifying agent of change for the benefit of Quebec society and acts as a driving force for social and economic development by promoting sustainability and quality in housing.
Job Summary
Under general supervision, the incumbent will provide human resources management advice to their client groups to ensure sound management practices. As a generalist, the incumbent may be required to support staff in various areas of human resources, such as personnel management, skills development, HR policies, and organizational health and safety.
Responsibilities

  • Act as a resource person for managers and a point of contact for employees for all human resources-related questions.
  • Support managers in the application of HR policies, practices, and processes to ensure consistency across programs, guidelines, and policies.
  • Interpret and apply policies, administrative procedures, laws, and regulations related to human resources management.
  • In collaboration with the staffing coordinator, participate in talent attraction, onboarding, and integration strategies.
  • Actively participate in various committees and activities related to human resources (e.g., health/safety, wellness, EDI, etc.).
  • Contribute to various special HR projects and the continuous improvement of HR tools, practices, and processes.
  • All other related duties.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, industrial relations, or business administration, with a specialization in human resources management.
  • Three to five (3-5) years of experience in human resources management, ideally as a generalist.
  • Membership in the Ordre des professionnels en ressources humaines (Order of Human Resources Professionals) would be considered an asset.

  • Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
  • Teamwork and interpersonal skills.
