is hiring a HR Generalist to support managers and employees by delivering and implementing HR programs, policies and initiatives. The HR Advisor demonstrate key competencies in areas of employment legislation, collective agreement interpretation, employee and labour relations, performance management, dispute resolution, and policy development. This role contributes to fostering a well-governed HR ecosystem and a positive and engaging workplace culture


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



HR Business Partnership:



Partner with managers and business partners to improve people-related priorities that align with organizational goals. Provide guidance and support to employees and management in all HR activities. Provide tools and resources to support new and existing leaders, and employees, for milestones, appreciation, recognition, retention and staff engagement.

Employee Relations & Performance Management:



Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Employment Standards and requirements related to employee management, reducing legal risk, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This includes inter-provincial workforce management. Provide interpretation of collective agreement and support for labour relations. Provide guidance and recommendations regarding employee relations, performance, and workforce management. o Support managers through performance and attend management processes Support learning and development initiatives including career development planning and succession planning.

Policy Development & Implementation:

Support the review, development, implementation and maintenance of HR policies, programs, and procedures that align with company values and industry best practices. Ensure compliance documentation is complete, including developing and updating job descriptions and preparing documents for audits. Conduct stay and exit interviews and analyze feedback to identify trends and recommend improvements.

Workplace Health & Safety:

Work closely with the OH&S team, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a safety culture. Assist with incident reporting, workplace investigations, and return-to-work programs.

HR Technology and Data Management:

Maintain HR records, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with employment regulations. Participates in systems development and testing and implementing any new functionality of HR Technology platforms.

Recruitment:

Support the recruitment team through effective talent identification and employee onboarding.

Proven ability to build positive stakeholder relationships at all levels. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to take initiative, prioritize and organize multiple tasks effectively and see them through to timely completion. Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines

Qualifications and Experience



5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in unionized and operations-focused environments. Strong knowledge of BC and Alberta employment legislation. Proven expertise in employee relations, collective agreement interpretation, policy development, and conflict resolution. Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in Oil & Gas or Health & Safety industries is an asset. Experience with graphic design and/or Canva as an asset.

Certifications & Training

Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or Human Resources. CPHR designation or actively pursuing certification.

WORK LOCATION

Onsite at the Calgary downtown office. * The role will require 20% travel with the potential for increased travel.
