Hr Talent Partner

Langley, BC, CA, Canada

Job Description

HR Talent Partner

Department:

Human Resources (shared services)

Why this role matters:

We're growing a high?performing People & Culture function to power our 13?location, multi?site operations. As our HR Talent Partner, you'll own the front end of the hiring funnel--posting roles, screening applicants, hosting pre?interviews, running background checks, and delivering clean recruiting analytics every month. You'll also be the go?to for all job platforms and recruitment spend, and you'll build relationships with government and post?secondary partners to keep our pipeline full for Operations.

What you'll do:

Sourcing & Selection

Post engaging, accurate job ads across our ATS and external boards; keep postings refreshed and on?brand. Screen applications quickly and fairly; run structured pre?interviews to shortlist strong, diverse talent. Coordinate with hiring managers to schedule interviews and keep candidates moving with clear SLAs.

Background Checks & Compliance

Coordinate references and background checks (e.g., criminal record checks, employment verification; driver's abstracts when applicable) and document results in the ATS/HRIS. Ensure postings meet BC Pay Transparency and human rights requirements; keep audit?ready records.

Analytics & Reporting

Build and maintain recruiting dashboards (time?to?fill, stage conversion, pipeline health, source effectiveness, cost?per?hire, quality signals). Report monthly to HR leadership with insights and recommended optimizations; track budget vs. plan.

Partnerships & Pipeline

Proactively build and nurture relationships with WorkBC, industry associations, and post?secondary programs (e.g., automotive tech/business) to create ongoing candidate flow. Plan and host pre?screen days, career fairs, and campus events; coordinate webinars or info sessions.

Platforms & Budget

Be the main point of contact for our ATS and job platforms (posting, tagging, workflows, permissions, integrations). Manage the recruitment budget/spend, allocate to the highest?ROI sources, and negotiate credits/promotions.

Candidate Experience & Employer Brand

Keep candidates informed and engaged; ensure timely, respectful communication at every stage. Partner with HR/Comms to keep job ads and outreach materials on?brand and inclusive.

What you'll bring

2-4+ years in recruitment/talent coordination, talent operations, or HR admin with strong recruiting exposure--ideally in multi?site retail/automotive or similar high?volume environments. Hands?on experience with an ATS/HRIS (e.g., HR4 or similar) and major job boards; confident with spreadsheets and dashboards (Excel/Sheets; bonus for BI/reporting tools). Proven ability to analyze funnel metrics and turn data into decisions (what to post, where to invest, when to pivot). Structured interviewer with clear note?taking, consistency, and equitable practices. Strong stakeholder partnership skills--able to set expectations, hit SLAs, and deliver results. Detail?driven, organized, and comfortable balancing speed with compliance.

Nice to have

Experience coordinating background checks and vendor relationships. Campus recruitment or community/government partnership building. Exposure to compensation analytics and pay equity basics.

Success looks like this (first 6-12 months)

Time?to?fill down and stage?to?stage conversion up for priority roles. Monthly analytics package adopted by HR leadership; actionable insights translate into pipeline wins. Recruitment spend is tracked and optimized with clear ROI by source. A reliable talent bench for Operations roles built through school/government partnerships. Consistent candidate comms and hiring?manager satisfaction (measurable via pulse/NPS).
