The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority (the \xe2\x80\x9cPort\xe2\x80\x9d) is responsible for the stewardship of federal port lands at the Port of Vancouver. Its mandate is to enable Canada\xe2\x80\x99s trade through the Port of Vancouver, while protecting the environment and considering local communities. The Port is governed by an independent Board of Directors and is accountable to the federal minister of transport under the Canada Marine Act. Employing almost 500 people, the Port operates in an environment that has a much more complex strategic agenda than its headcount alone would indicate. As one of the world\xe2\x80\x99s most diversified ports and a significant part of British Columbia\xe2\x80\x99s and Canada\xe2\x80\x99s dynamic gateway for trade and tourism, the Port of Vancouver generates an estimated $11.9 billion in GDP and represents a major economic force that underpins the strength of the Canadian economy through international trade. A new opportunity for a HR Program Director, RBT2 has been created in anticipation of the Federal Government\xe2\x80\x99s decision on the Roberts Bank Terminal 2 project. The HR Program Director, RBT2 will provide business partnering, leadership, direction and oversight of people strategies for our Roberts Bank Terminal 2 (RBT2) project. This position will report to the Director, Strategic HR Business Partners and will direct the work of a team comprised of Human Resources Business Partner(s), as well as specialists from our Talent Acquisition and Total Rewards teams.. Blending both knowledge of human resources process and best practice with a clear understanding of the project management discipline, the HR Program Director, RBT2 will play an integral part in workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, development and succession planning. The role will also be crucial to the development of people analytics and reporting solutions to the RBT2 team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience providing leadership and direction in an HR business partner model, particularly in the areas of performance management, leadership development, learning and development and effective delivery of people strategies on large, complex infrastructure projects. Certification from the International Coaching Federation will be considered an asset. Candidates will have demonstrated high levels of professionalism, strategic thinking skills and strong leadership capabilities. Good judgment, emotional maturity, strong relationship building skills and high ethical standards will contribute to success in this role.
