Accounting and HR Assistant
As the Accounting and HR Assistant, you will work closely with department managers on accounting practices for the retirement community. In addition you will work closely with HR to assist in recruitment, on-boarding and orientation. The person who fills this role will have responsibilities that include accounts payable, payroll and support the Controller with assistance in accounts receivables and monthend reporting.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office applications, with intermediate to advanced excel skills, and well experienced with Ceridian Dayforce.
  • An Associate\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Accounting is preferred
  • A minimum of 3-5 years in an accounting setting
  • Canadian Payroll Association Certification would be an asset
  • A minimum of three (3) years progressive experience in a computerized payroll environment
  • Knowledge of Ceridian Dayforce is an asset
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Be able to work with HRIS systems such as Ceridian Dayforce that utilize recruitment and onboarding modules or be a quick learner and able to pick up HR information systems.
  • Support the HR Manager by recruiting, and on-boarding of potential employees and ensuring they are set up with a company ID and have the ability to punch in and out.
  • be able to assist the HR Manager with orientation and ensuring a employees are set up for success.
  • High volume, so being able to work well under pressure is an asset
  • Prior exposure to computerized accounting software; experience with Ceridian Dayforce, experience with RealPage property management software is a plus and Procurement Partners.
  • Excellent time-management skills, flexibility and the ability to prioritize among multiple and/or competing tasks
  • A genuine interest in working with a senior population
  • An above-average level of attention to detail and accuracy, team player, and strong organizational skills
