We are looking for an energetic HR Manager with strong relationship building and change management skills to join our HR team for the Kidd Operations.

A few words about Kidd Operations

Located in Timmins, Ontario, Kidd Operations consists of Mine and Concentrator sites focused on developing and sustaining economic mining plans for its ore body.

The mine extends to a depth of 3.01 km (9,889 ft), making Kidd the world\xe2\x80\x99s deepest base-metal mine. It has been in operations since 1963 and it is one of the largest private sector employers of the region with over 700 employees currently working in its operations.

The role in a nutshell

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing human resources policies, programs and practices that meet the business objectives of the organization.

You will take the lead in all aspects such as Labour relations, Change Management, Recruitment, Compensation, Organizational Development and Performance Management.

More specifically, you will be expected to:
  • Oversee the full scope of HR activities such as Labour relations, Change Management, Recruitment, Compensation, Organizational Development and Performance Management;
  • Support senior stakeholders on HR related matters and guide/mentor the team in place;
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to proactively put in place or maintain HR initiatives;
  • Answer queries and deal with arising situations in a timely manner;
  • Play a key role in change management;
  • Establish and manage HR budget.
Do you have what it takes?
  • Degree in Human Resources or labour relations, or an equivalent combination of experience and education is required;
  • 10+ years experience in HR including at least 3 years in a Senior/Leadership role in the mining, manufacturing or other heavy industry;
  • Solid experience in change management;
  • Proven experience in labour relations and negotiating skills;
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking;
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills allowing you to communicate effectively and generate support and commitment;
  • Positive leader with proven ability to influence internal and external stakeholders and quickly make an impact;
  • Thrive in a busy environment and have the ability to work on concurring priorities;
  • Can-do attitude, action-oriented and confident.
CHRP/SHRP/CRIA designation will be considered a strong asset.

Language: English. Knowledge of French is a definite asset.

Note that candidates who are unwilling to relocate but can spend extensive periods in Timmins and work at our Dorval office (hybrid) when not on-site, may be considered.
