The Role
We're looking for an experienced
Hiring Manager
to lead recruitment and HR support for our growing team. You'll focus on hiring
Metal Fabricators, Welders, Electricians, and Skilled Labourers
, while also helping shape company HR policies and practices.
Key Responsibilities
Source, recruit, and hire skilled tradespeople.
Conduct interviews with department managers.
Manage onboarding and offboarding processes.
Draft, review, and implement HR policies.
Ensure compliance with company policies and BC employment law.
Schedule shifts and manage attendance issues.
Support managers with general HR matters.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role.
Strong knowledge of labour laws and HR best practices.
Proven experience hiring in skilled trades or industrial environments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., Quickbooks Time, TimeDoctor 2).
Experience with talent acquisition strategies.
Ability to analyze data for informed decision-making.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
HR certification is an asset but not required.
